The on-board charger has measured a voltage on its DC side — the side connected to the traction battery — above the level it allows, and it stops charging to protect the high-voltage system. The instrument cluster asks the driver to check the on-board charging system, and the vehicle cannot charge or discharge until the fault is cleared. BYD's documents point to the traction battery, the charger itself and its wiring.
