Steering-wheel 'next channel' switch stuck

The multifunction steering wheel reports that its 'next channel' button is held down when it should be released. Treating the button as stuck, the system stops responding to it, and on some models other steering-wheel switch functions are affected as well. BYD's documents trace the fault to the button's own switch circuit or mechanism, to the wiring and connector, or to the steering-wheel switch assembly itself.

Before working on any high-voltage component, carry out BYD's high-voltage shutdown: switch the vehicle off, disconnect the 12 V supply and the high-voltage connector, then leave the vehicle for at least 5 minutes before touching orange cabling. Wear insulated gloves and footwear. Do not work on the high-voltage system without training for that vehicle.
