Right door mirror up/down motor drive overload

The right exterior mirror's up-and-down adjustment motor has drawn more current than its drive circuit allows, and the mirror glass stops adjusting vertically when the mirror switch is used. BYD's documents list the wiring and connector, the right domain controller, and the vertical adjustment motor itself — whether faulty, jammed or obstructed. On some models the mirror's fold motor is listed as a possible cause as well.

Before working on any high-voltage component, carry out BYD's high-voltage shutdown: switch the vehicle off, disconnect the 12 V supply and the high-voltage connector, then leave the vehicle for at least 5 minutes before touching orange cabling. Wear insulated gloves and footwear. Do not work on the high-voltage system without training for that vehicle.
